Maryum N. Alam
Maryum is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at The Ohio State University, with a specialization in international relations and political methodology. Her research focuses on state decision-making during conflicts and how internal and external conditions produce sticky foreign policy commitments. Her methodological interests include statistical modeling, causal inference, and machine learning. At the MESO Lab, Maryum is developing a measure of uncertainty with machine learning techniques to assess the predictability of state behavior in the international system.
